From the Kampsville Ferry: Turn south (left) on Illinois Hwy 100; travel one mile to Crawford Creek Road and turn west (right). The MHP is about 1/2 mile; the parking area and pavilion are on the right.

From Illinois Hwy 100: Turn west on Crawford Creek Road (about 1 mile south of Kampsville, Illinois). The McCully Heritage Project is about 1/2 mile west of Hwy 100 on Crawford Creek Rd, the Parking area and pavilion are on the right (north) side of the road.

From the St. Louis area: Come east on I-270 and cross the river at Alton. Take I-270 to the Hwy 367 exit (it's labeled Alton) and follow Hwy 367 to 67 (they automatically connect) this takes you across the yellow bridge to Alton. At the end of the bridge turn left onto Hwy 100, follow this past the Argosy Casino (on your left) and turn left at the intersection. This is still Hwy 100 and is the Great River Road, which will take you along the Mississippi, through Grafton and past Pere Marquette State Park. Eventually you'll reach the intersection of Hwy 100 and 16. Turn left and continue on 100 to Hardin. You'll cross the Joe Page Bridge over the Illinois River to get to Hardin (and into Calhoun County) at the end of the bridge turn right and continue on Hwy 100 about 10 miles toward Kampsville. Before you reach Kampsville is the turn-off for the McCully Heritage Project. This road is Crawford Creek Road and there is a green and white sign for the MHP at the turn-off. You'll be turning left (away from the river) from Hwy 100 onto Crawford Creek Rd. Go about ½ mile and there you'll find us.

Topographic map information: The MHP is split between two USGS 7.5 minute quads – Kampsville and Pleasantdale Valley. Digital topographic maps can be downloaded at (Note these are large files and are for GIS programs, but the main topographic map is a .tiff, so it can be opened with any photo-editing software.)
